Supporting businesses like those in the Meath Made Collective has a real and measurable impact on the Irish
economy. Research also shows that money spent in local businesses is more likely to stay in the community,
with local spending generating two to four times more economic activity through what is known as the “local
multiplier effect.”
By choosing to shop with small, local makers, consumers are not only purchasing unique, high-quality
products — they are directly supporting jobs, enterprise development, and the long-term vitality of local
economies.
