Marlese Louw

Jewellery Artist

Marlese is a jewellery artist working from her home studio in the Boyne Valley. She creates unusual pieces using polymer clay, drawing inspiration from the East Meath landscape, art, and the changing seasons. Each design is handcrafted.  Often using a slow, meticulous process called caning—a technique that involves building patterns entirely from coloured clay, with no paint or prints. Her work is joyful, detailed, and totally unique. Marlese supplies her jewellery to independent shops across Ireland, and also connects directly with customers through her website and in-person events. She is passionate about sustainable making and offers lifetime repairs on all her pieces.
